Video: I, Inspire with Style

Once you know the need, offer tailored recommendations, show key features and benefits clearly, encourage the customer to experience the product, and handle objections calmly.

Features tell. Stories inspire. Benefits sell.

  • Feature: a physical attribute of the product, such as colour, texture, material or weight.

  • Benefit: how that feature meets the customer’s need.

  • Story: the heritage or design idea that makes the product meaningful.

Never state a specification without attaching a lifestyle outcome. Convert every feature into a benefit.

Feature Benefit to the customer
Aeronautical aluminium handle Lighter than standard handles, so there is less arm strain in busy airports.
Hinomoto 55mm wheels Tested for 50 km; glides smoothly and silently where standard wheels get stuck.
600D polyester with PU backing Heavy-duty fabric that survives the daily commute while staying soft and water-resistant.
TSA-approved double-coil zipper Protects valuables from puncture theft and allows damage-free airport security checks.

What you could say

  1. Introduce the product: “We have…”

  2. Describe the features: “It’s got…”

  3. Explain the benefits: “It will…”

Two kinds of stories

  • Heritage-driven stories: the brand’s history, how it perfected materials and design over decades, and cultural inspiration behind designs.

  • Product design stories: why every curve, zipper or compartment exists; how modern features (lightweight materials, anti-theft locks) meet a timeless look; signature details like embossed logos or patented wheels.

Key takeaway: Success = Knowledge + Attitude + Skills. Strong product knowledge is what makes your stories believable.
